We are all busy parents who manage our kids, careers, health and so much more on a daily basis. Ever since its inception in 2008, Pinterest has been helping moms and dads with ideas on activities, crafts and recipes and oh, how we love it. While it might seem like it’s all gorgeous photos and cool tutorial, Pinterest can really make your life so much more efficient.
Here are some of our favorite Pinterest hacks to save you time and make everything from shopping to finding the perfect recipe even easier.
Find Recipes in a Flash with Recipe Filters
One of Pinterest's newest features is the ability to search for recipes using filters. Now when you're looking to find the quickest meal or a recipe your picky eater will eat, you can easily filter by categories such as cook time, ingredient or type of diet. Meal planning never looked so easy!
Use Your Camera to Find Items Online with Lens
Have you ever been out in the real world, and saw a kid product or pair of shoes you just had to have...but when you get home, mommy brain struck again? Well Pinterest Lens has it all figured out.
Using your camera from within the Pinterest app, just take a photo and the platform will do the searching for you! Pinterest will search using tons of details from within your photo and recommend similar (or the actual) product in a flash.
Shop the Look with Just a Few Taps
Pinterest's Shop the Look feature allows users to point directly at an item in a home decor or fashion pin and identity the item for purchase. If the product is available for purchase, a menu will populate where you can immediately purchase the item from within the app or you can go to the brand's website. Pinterest will also make suggestions for similar items if you'd like something a little different.
Buy It Now with Shopping Shortcuts from Product Pins
The next time you find yourself shopping for that perfect piece of home decor or a new outfit your upcoming family photo shoot, you may end up being able to buy instantly! Pinterest has partnered with tons of brands in these two categories to offer shopping shortcuts. All you have to do is hold down the image, and click the shopping tag icon that pops up! You'll be able to purchase instantly, instead of being directed elsewhere.
Organize All Your Inspo & Ideas with Sections
Earlier this year Pinterest introduced Sections for their boards. Now, instead of having one large board to contain all your Halloween food, activities, crafts and decor, you can break it up into organized sections. On the flip side, now you don't need 10 boards to cover all the topics related to one holiday. Genius!
