Parents React to the Polar Vortex & We’re Like “Same” (Also, BRRR)

Is it us, or is it COLD? If you’re a resident of the Midwest, that’s definitely an understatement and that’s why we’ve rounded up a good batch of hilarious tweets about the Polar Vortex.

While the kids might be enjoying their time off from school for the ultimate snow day, parents have a few other thoughts on the issue.

1. Jackets are for wimps.

2. Mad.HOUSE.

The schools keep closing because it’s “safer” for kids to stay home.

Clearly they’ve never seen my kids on day two of a polar vortex ready to rip each other’s hair out with their teeth.

3. This is true.

From a parent’s point of view, a polar vortex is a large-scale cyclone that hits your home on snow days leaving every room in the kids' path destroyed.

There will be a blizzard tomorrow, so daycare asked if we’ll still send in our toddlers.

I love them to death…but those kids will be there even if I need to fashion a dogsled out of crib slats and broken toys held together by sippy-cup residue.
