“Pick blueberries, bring a picnic, visit the farm animals, stay for a concert, learn about kids farm camp… Tri-County farms are busy places for Oregon families in July!  Find your local family-owned blueberry patch at http://www.tricountyfarm.org/product/blueberries and look up all the other fun activities these farms have to offer!

What else are we picking now? Raspberries, Cherries, Lavender–and blackberries are on the way. Farms are taking sign-ups for kids’ summer farm camps and adult workshops and summer concerts are now in full swing. Make a day of it at the farm!

When U-picking, plan for the bright sun, don’t forget to bring shade hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and water to drink. Wipeups for berry stained hands and faces are must! Bring boxes or large bags to carry your berries home as not all farms provide them. Unless a farm specifically welcomes pets, please leave them at home–or call the farm to see if your pet is welcome. Many farms must prohibit visiting pets in order to uphold their USDA certification.

See you at the farm!”
