Mo Phillips

Mo Phillips, Singer/Songwriter for Families - and Teaching Artist of Music to Portland Area Schools

Ahhhh Mo. Where to begin? Mo writes tunes that are groovy to kiddos and adults alike. He rocks originals, Johnny Cash, the White Stripes, even some Rainbow Connection if you’re lucky. Best of all, Mo plays all over PDX, all the time. Mornings, afternoons, evenings - Mo has a show. Mo plays restaurants with food and booze, public libraries, outdoor festivals, and kiddo venues with natural light and play areas. Mo is also a proud dad to a nine- and six-year-old with whom he loves to go camping, play soccer in the yard, and jockey for hammock time (not to be confused with Hammer time, though who knows, maybe that happens as well). Mo knows the value of music for all Portlanders – look for this SE Sunnyside resident as he teaches music in public schools all over metro Portland. And check this out, Mo can also be found bending it on the soccer field with his FC Bridgetown teammates.

To all the Top Pops and Rad Dads out there in Portland, we salute you as well! Let us know who else we should add to our list in the comment section below.
