Looking for a way to cast a feel-good spell on the whole family over the holidays?
Northwest Children’s Theater’s Cinderella should do the trick. The company has made a name for itself with their imaginative productions. Here’s the scoop on their latest play:
- The modernized plot has nothing to do with waiting for a prince to come. In this adaptation, Cinderella is set on making her show biz debut much to the dismay of jealous relatives.
- Tap dancers twirl across the stage in numbers that bring to mind classic Broadway choreography. Plus, all the action is set to a score by Ezra Weiss, Portland’s own award-winning composer.
- Located in a converted 100-year-old church, the theater’s setting has as much flair as the show itself—the grand columns and domed ceiling provide their own bit of drama.
- And to make sure everyone can get in on the fun, there’s ASL, sensory-friendly, and audio described performances on the schedule.
Here’s another reason it’s a ball: Get 50 percent off one youth ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket.
