Portland Kids Weekend Events: April 5-7
Trillium flowers—and the Tryon Creek Trillium Festival—are a colorful sign that spring is in full swing, with a weekend of family activities in store for Portlanders. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is still blooming, with over 40 acres of flowers to explore Other springtime adventures: searching for handcrafted glass floats on the beach, collage art, and a family dance body at Body Vox.

Messy Monkeys: Collage
Come explore the art of collage at its finest! Have fun with paper and fabric shapes, and create flowers and tie-dye coffee filters! Portland Youth Spelling Bee
Kids can strut their spelling stuff on the Mississippi Pizza stage. Three difficulty levels give everyone a chance to play. Winners take home fun prizes, and every speller gets a treat. Sat. 1:00 pm. Sign-ups start at 12:45, and spelling starts at 1:00. Free. Ages 5-18. Event details.
Sherlock Jr. Family Movie Matinee
Electric cellist Gideon Freudmann plays a live & lively musical soundtrack to the classic Buster Keaton silent film comedy classic, “Sherlock Jr.” Sat. 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
