Hit the Galaxy Dance Festival
Polaris Dance Theatre 2017 Galaxy Dance Festival is an annual summer dance festival hosting an array of Portland area companies and performers. This 3-day community gathering includes free classes and performances for the entire family. Fri. Event Details.
Playing Monopoly with God & Other True Stories
Head to this unique storytelling event. Melissa Bangs makes Portland her last weekend of performances in a nine-city West Coast Tour. 23rd Annual Columbia Slough Regatta
Join the Columbia Slough Watershed Council for Regatta, an on the water paddle festival like no other. Regatta celebrates recreation opportunities on Portland’s hidden gem of local waterways, the Columbia Slough. Regatta is not actually a race; this family friendly event is a fun paddle for experienced paddlers and novice paddlers alike.
The event features complimentary 45-minute canoe and kayak rentals (all equipment provided) for registered attendees. Before and after paddling, participants can visit with local environmental and water-based organizations, enjoy hands-on nature activities, live music and guided tours of Multnomah County levee system that reduces the risk of flooding for nearly 13,000 acres near the confluence of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Head to Lents Founders Fair
This cool family fair will give participants an opportunity to explore the neighborhood on foot, experience the Green Ring, and use the closed off streets for play . The route will highlight the new NAYA Generations intergenerational community, The Lents International Farmer’s Market, Green Lents Community Tool Library and of course, the Lents Founder Fair celebration, concentrated in the SW corner of Lents park, featuring Founder Fair favorites like the Beautiful Chicken Contest and live music performances. This festival truly rocks! Rock clubs from around the region will be offering wonderful educational displays, demonstrations, and activities. Geodes, other minerals and rocks will be for sale at vendor booths and the outdoor festival features a wide variety of rock, mineral, gem, jewelry, and fossil dealers. 2nd Star Festival presents its third annual Cultural Arts celebration honoring creativity of all forms to be held Dorris Ranch in Springfield, Or. The event will highlight 100+ artisans, authors, illustrators along with performers of music, storytelling, and puppetry and more. It is an experience for all ages to be mesmerized and immersed in a land of imagination and inspiration.
