Here We Go a Waffling
A Trackers Portland Family Holiday Party! All Trackers families and friends are invited to this free, savory and sweet waffle potluck with beverages, open archery range and skills. Blacksmithing is an extra fee ($10 for 1 hour. Sign up at the door.). Keep it Local With Crafty Wonderland’s Super Colossal Holiday Sale
A must-do for any craft-loving Portlander, Crafty Wonderland is also an artistic inspiration for all ages. Check out the art, crafts, count how many people “put a bird on it” and shop for holiday gifts. Don’t forget to stop by the children’s area so your little crafters can try their hands at their own projects. Puppet Show: The Gingerbread Man
Granny gets lonely and decides to make a gingerbread man from a magic cookie recipe. Fly Like Santa on the Tram
Come for a ride on the Tram, leave with a memento suitable for gifting. Enjoy soaring views and harmonies, with caroling by singers from the Cleveland High School choir program. Visit the Photo Booth and picture-craft table and leave with a memento of your newest holiday tradition – the closest thing in Portland to a flying sleigh, the Portland Aerial Tram. Get in On the Act at A Wing It Christmas Carol
This theater company continues its second season of interactive shows for kids with a holiday-themed performance, based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Jazz, the squirrel is acting a little “Scroogey” and is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Future, Jacob Marley, and three spirits. The children in the audience will help the other characters, Buzz Buzz the bee, Rita the fruit fly, and Luna the owl get Jazz back in the Christmas spirit. There will be singing, dancing, and a chance for the kids to come up to the stage for their moment in the spotlight. Word is Santa will be in the audience, too. Sat., 10:30-11:30 a.m., $5, Ages 2-8. Abbreviated Ballet for Kids: A Nutcracker Tea
Northwest Dance Theatre presents A NutcrackerTea at PCC Sylvania’s Performing Arts Center! Follow Clara and her Nutcracker Prince in this family-friendly adaptation as they conquer the Rat King and embark on a heartwarming journey through the Snow Kingdom and Land of Sweets. Come enjoy this perfect holiday tradition and first-time ballet experience for family and friends of all ages. Performance time is approximately 90 minutes and free parking is available.
