Rock Out With The Not-Its! and The Alphabeticians
The award-winning, indie Seattle band,The Not-Its!, is a group of crazy-talented moms and dads with musical backgrounds. They performed at the closing Seattle Mariners family day in September, and just also appeared as a featured band for the Yo Gabba Gabba Live! show at The Schnitz. These musicians seriously rock out, making it impossible for anyone to sit still. And, as if that weren’t enough, one of our local favorite duos, The Alphabetitians, will open the show. Kiepenkaspar: German Puppet Show
Uwe Spillmann is a master puppeteer from northern Germany who will be performing several vignettes using specially handmade puppets and his magical basket. Herr Spillmann has been the Kiepenkasper for 20 years and has performed all over the world. His puppets will be speaking German, but they are still entertaining, even for speakers of other languages. Celebrate The Crystal Ballroom’s Birthday
McMenamins Crystal Ballroom is turning the ripe old age of 101 and offering a free day of fun over two city blocks. First up, is the “You Who” Children’s Rock Variety Show, with featured performers, Sallie Ford, Steven Malkmus (of Pavement) & The Jicks, Thomas Lauderdale and China Forbes (of Pink Martini) and other special guests, followed by DJs, Amanda, The Face Painter and Joe Mishkin, The Balloon Guy. Shake Paws With Paddington Bear
Kiddos are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals, make their own Paddington bear craft, have their pictures taken with Paddington, listen to a storytime with Paddington books read by Sho from Maggie Mae’s Kids Mobile Bookshop, and go home with some free movie merchandise.
