Check Out Icicle’s Rock and Roll Kids Puppet Show
Go on a Musical Adventure as Icicle the Baby Blues Lion takes the children on a magical journey though the songs of the 70’s and 80’s. Bungle in the jungle with Lion Sleeps tonight, swim under the ocean waves with mermaids and sea turtles, get your inner Kung Fu with dragons and pandas , and Come on Get Happy with a Caribbean parade of monkeys and giant ostriches. Attend Monster Drawing Rally V
The Museum’s popular Monster Drawing Rally returns for a fifth year of drawing under the summer stars! MDR is a drawing event and fundraiser featuring nearly 100 Portland-based artists. Part performance, part laboratory, part art bazaar, the Monster Drawing Rally is an incredible opportunity to watch some of your favorite Portland artists create original drawings from a blank page. The free event begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. in the Museum’s courtyard with a thirty-minute Young Artists drawing round specifically showcasing local artists 17 and under, and is followed by three one-hour rounds that each feature approximately 25 different artists drawing simultaneously. Don’t Miss the Willamette Valley Lavender Festival
The Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, Oregon will host the 15th Annual Willamette Valley Lavender Festival and Plein Air Art Show on July 13 & 14, 2019. This regional celebration of lavender, art, food, music, and exceptionally-made crafts is a unique and festive event which brings local lavender growers and the community together. The public is invited to attend at no charge. This year, festival guests can enjoy more juried art and craft booths than ever before!
