Sign Up for the Ladybug Run for CDH Awareness 2018
The primary focus of the event is to promote awareness of and raise funds for the condition of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). The event will consist of a 5K run, 5k walk. 10K run, 10K relay, and Kids fun runs in Cook Park. A run course in Cook Park will consist of an urban trail winding through open green spaces and forested areas and providing a unique running experience. The course will be a stroller friendly course. Head to the Zenger Farm’s 4th Annual Hoedown
The Hoedown is Zenger Farm’s summer celebration and fundraiser for the 24-acre nonprofit urban farm. The Hoedown brings guests together to eat, dance, drink and play, all while helping raise funds for Zenger Farm to promote access to good food for all.

This event features live performances from family band Ants Ants Ants and songwriter Matt Dorrien, in addition to family performer Mo Phillips, and indie-folk duo Wonderly; a picnic supper from New Seasons Market; handcranked Salt & Straw ice cream and farm games and kids’ activities. This enormously popular course consists of a mix of lecture, group discussion and hands-on practice which covers: safe job search, resumes, interviewing, professionalism, preparing for a job, decision-making, problem-solving, child development/ages and stages, age-appropriate activities, clear and constructive communication (with adults and children), dealing with difficult situations, basic care (diapering, toileting, feeding, burping, etc.), safety in and outside of the home/in the community, how to get help in an emergency, basic first aid (infant/child/adult conscious choking and bandaging).
