Say “Opa!” if you’re ready to party at the 62nd Annual Greek Festival.Or practice saying “Splat!” if you want to see 1,000 pound pumpkins being dropped from helicopters at Bauman Farm. Engage in some foodie fun with the Wedge Cheese Festival. Visit Story Land (and see Star Wars Stormtroopers!) at Wordstock’s Little Word. Or get in the spooky spirit and explore the haunted woods and walk through a 40-foot castle at Wenzel’s Halloween Fantasy Trail.

Eastside

61st Annual Greek Festival(pictured)
Celebrating cherished Greek cultural traditions, food, music, and dance. Kids’ activities include face painting, gold “medals”, ivy wreaths, coloring, games, puppet shows, and more! Fri-Sun. 10:00 am – 10:00 pm (Fri and Sat) and 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Sun). Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Free admission. All ages. Event details.

The Wedge Cheese Festival
This Farmers Market-style festival showcases cheeses from over 40 local cheese makers. Sat. 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Green Dragon Bistro and Brewpub. $5 donation. All ages. Event details.

Little Word at Wordstock
See performances by today’s coolest children’s writers and illustrators, visit Story Land, cozy up with a book in our Story Corner, play word games, go on a curious minds scavenger hunt and dive into the many word infused crafts and games designed for young readers. Sat – Sun. 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. $11 adults, $7 student, free ages 0-13. All ages. Event details.

Suburbs

Halloween Fantasy Trail
Explore over 1,000 feet of wooded walkway all dressed up for the Halloween and haunted by spooky sights and sounds. Oct 1-30. 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm (day) and 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm (night). Wenzel Farm, Oregon City. Adults $5, children under 13 $4. Event details.

Bauman Farm’s Pumpkin Weigh-Off
There are pumpkins…and then there are PUMPKINS. These hefty fellas weigh in at over 1,000 pounds. Even better: You’ll get to see huge pumpkins dropped from the sky by a helicopter. Sat. 1:00 pm. Bauman Farms, Gervais. Free admission. All ages. Event details.

14th Annual Birdfest
Join the  Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge Staff for a weekend of nature, wildlife and Native American culture and celebrate the coming of fall and the wildlife that make the Refuge their home. Kids’ activities tent, canoe rides, Audubon’s Wild Birds of Prey, family birds walk and many more activities. Sat – Sun. 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. Most events free. All ages. Event details.
