Attend National Seat Check Saturday
The Portland Children’s Museum is proud to partner with Randall Children’s Hospital to teach parents and caregivers how to correctly install and use car seats, and ensure children are in the rights seats for their ages and sizes. Every 33 seconds, one child under the age of 13 is involved in a crash, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Many times deaths and injuries can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters and seat belts. Come get your car seat checked by a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Your young naturalists will love this event. The Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival is all about natural fibers from beginning to end—from animal or plant fiber to finished product.
