Don’t Miss the September Second Saturday at the Water Center: Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show
This Second Saturday event is part of the annual Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show. Join from 1-3 p.m. at the Water Resources Education Center for the wood carving show and bird-related activities. Children can paint their very own carved wooden bird and learn about the timeless craft of wood carving. Head to the Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair

The Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair returns to Esther Short Park for its 15th year, showcasing local nonprofit agencies and churches, volunteers and activists, performers and just-plain-folks focused on making Clark County – and the whole world – a better place to live.

Get to know the many big-hearted local community groups that are working on important causes like hunger and homelessness, racial and ethnic bigotry, environmental restoration and climate change, oil trains and pollution, war and refugees, gender and LGBTQ equity, health and nutrition, animal welfare, and much more.During the day, there will be many activities going on at the same time. At the stage, there will be a series of events including music, dance and poetry. Around the park, groups will have exhibit spaces for tables. Got to the Portland Picnic Wine Tasting
The Portland Picnic Wine Tasting Festival is back for its second year, offering an exceptional array of 100 wines from around the world in a family-friendly atmosphere. The event also features beer and food vendors, live music, a grape stomp competition and activities for the whole family, including puppets, face painting and an appearance by Rojo the Llama and the Portland Timbers Street Team.
