Skidmore Fountain

Location: SW 1st Ave. and SW Ankeny St. near the Burnside Bridge

Created by Olin Levi Warner and perched in Portland since 1888, Skidmore Fountain reigns as Portland's oldest piece of artwork in the City of Portland's Public Art Collection. Make sure to visit from March to December on a weekend so you can enjoy the Portland Saturday Market at the same time. Fun fact that you may or may not choose to share with the kids: at the dedication for the fountain, Henry Weinhard offered to pump beer into it.
