Just when we thought we’d exhausted all of our wintertime indoor activities, Play Boutique comes to the rescue with a sweet new indoor play space. Play Boutique’s newest location, which officially opened Monday, February 20, is located in Beaverton (their first location is in Lake Oswego) and is a much bigger and sophisticated play space, according to owner Kelley Peake. Kelley has been working toward opening the new location for months and the joy and enthusiasm she holds for Portland families is apparent when we recently spoke to her. Kelley expressed that she couldn’t be more thrilled to offer Beaverton families a new spot to bring their kids, especially with these wet and dreary winter days dragging on and on. So go ahead Portland families, rejoice in the fact that we finally have a new indoor play space to explore, and a pretty cool one at that.
Just like their first location in Lake Oswego, the newest Play Boutique play space is all about providing a fun, safe, and totally cool play area for the kids. Their flexible drop-in play hours means that there’s no need to plan weeks in advance — just merely show up when the mood strikes and you need to get out of the house. And, while parents must stay on the premises, mom and dad can kick back at the cafe while the kiddos run, jump, and get the wiggles out. According to Kelley, the Beaverton location will have a larger cafe complete with wi-fi and computer plug-in stations, which for computer-toting mamas is a total necessity.
