Les Schwab Tires Turkey Trot Relay & 5K Run/Walk

While most Turkey Trots happen the morning of Thanksgiving, Hood to Coast hosts their annual Turkey Trot under the lights of the Sunshine Division Winter Wonderland the night before Thanksgiving! Walk, run or relay. This race offers a choice for it’s 5k, and kids can get involved too. Get your little runner on board with the Kid’s Trot.

Hood to Coast races partner with a variety of different charities from the American Lung Association, Boys and Girls Club of America, Oregon Food Bank and more.

Kid’s Trot starts at 6:45 p.m.

Turkey Trot – Oregon Zoo

Get ready for Thanksgiving dinner with a 4-mile fun run or walk through Washington Park, ending inside the zoo. This family-friendly run includes a 1/3 mile tot-trot opportunity for your 11-year old and younger runners.

The Thanksgiving Day tradition, organized by the Oregon Road Runners Club (ORRC), raises around $25,000 each year to fund animal care and programs at the zoo. Registration prices begin at $20 for the tot-trot, $25 for ORRC members, $30 for non-members. Family rates are available. Prices do increase after Oct. 31.

Turkeython – Multiple Portland-area locations

The team behind Uberthons.com are pros at producing quality race events. The Turkeython event was voted one of the Top 24 November/December events in the U.S.A. by Competitor Magazine. This year there are five Turkeython events in the area including: Clackamas Town Center, Bridgeport Village, Downtown Portland, East Vancouver, and Hillsboro.

All but the Downtown Portland race are chipped timed races. Runners for the Downtown Portland race receive stop watches to time their runs. The Hillsboro Turkeython is dedicated to the Oregon Food Bank.  The other four in the Portland area are dedicated to Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland.

The Turkeython events are 5k Walk/Run events that are perfect for the whole family. There is even a free kidathon race for your littlest runners. Registration costs begin at $30 for an individual runner and families/teams receive discounted prices. Register online for a Turkeython near you.

Tofurkey Trot

Tofurky Trots are family friendly 5K run/walk events, organized throughout the country to raise money and awareness for veg-friendly lifestyles. The Trot is 5k (3.1 miles) and is a run, trot, or walk open to all levels of physical fitness. All profits from ticket sales go to Northwest Veg, a Portland-area non-profit dedicated to bringing awareness to the power of a veg lifestyle and helping support people in their transition toward making healthier, more sustainable & compassionate food choices.

Registration costs begin at $15 for runners aged 6 to 18 and $30 for adults.
