Go back in time to 1913. Back to a time when West Linn was newly incorporated, and Willamette was still its own city. Cars were only for the super rich, livestock wandered the street and horses outnumbered people 10 to 1. Women had finally won their right to vote, and suffragists lay down their sashes and banners, only to raise them up again, this time against alcohol… the devil’s drink! Temperance was the newest issue at hand.
Experience “An Evening in Willamette – 1913.”
Tours start out on a horse drawn carriage. You will then walk the neighborhood, encounter live scenes of everyday life and meet many of the town leaders who helped shape Willamette’s future. You will go inside the homes of some of Willamette’s residents and hear music from the period. Finish your tour with complimentary light snacks, beverages & music.
