Katie Morford, Food Writer and Dietitian

Katie Morford is committed to bringing ease to the everyday table through delicious recipes, handy tips and nutrition insight. This San Francisco, CA mother of three is a food writer, registered dietician and the author of two cookbooks: Rise and Shine: Better Breakfasts for Busy Mornings and Best Lunch Box Ever. She's been working in this industry for 20 years, but took time off from full-time working when her kids were little. When she’s not working or creating recipes for her blog, “Mom’s Kitchen Handbook: Raising Fresh-Food Kids in a French-Fried World,” Katie enjoys spending time with her kids, whom she calls her greatest personal accomplishment. They enjoy outdoor and exercise activities, including hiking, skiing and playing at the beach.

Proudest Professional Accomplishment: “My newest cookbook, Rise & Shine: Better Breakfasts for Busy Mornings, because it feels like such an authentic reflection of how I cook and think about food.”
