Get ready for some seriously intense adorableness. On Sunday, first child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge turned 5 years old and the royals released Prince George’s official birthday portrait. And yes, it’s royally cute.

Photographer Matt Porteous snapped the fifth birthday pics following the baby brother Prince Louis’ christening. Posting the super-smiley photo on Instagram, Kensington Palace announced, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark his fifth birthday — thank you to everyone for the lovely messages.”

This year’s photo is one in a growing line of birthday portraits that are oh-so-sweet. The entirely toothy grin shows off the little prince’s personality. While the adorable picture may be the official portrait for Prince George’s momentous fifth birthday, it’s far from formal-looking.

Yes, he’s third in line to the British throne—but he’s also a kid. And this perfect picture shows that off to a tee.
