You had the best Thanksgiving intentions. You Pinterest-ed a few dozen awesome cranberry sauce recipes, bought a special pan for the turkey and even got out the cloth napkins. But then it just didn’t come together like you wanted it to. Whether the last turkey you cooked was still ice-cold after four hours in the oven or you just don’t feel like spending all day in the kitchen, you may not have to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year. Why not? Keep reading on to find out how you can skip cooking the turkey day feast.

If a home-cooked meal is not on the Thanksgiving agenda this year, you can still make the holiday special. There are actually a fair number of restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving 2017. These include Applebee’s, Black Angus Steakhouse, Bob Evans, Boston Market, Cracker Barrel, Denny’s, Golden Corral, IHOP, Luby’s, Maggiano’s Little Italy, McCormick & Schmick’s, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Smith & Wollensky, TGI Friday’s and Waffle House.

So go ahead and give yourself a break. There’s no rule saying that you have to slave over a hot oven for an entire day just to end up spending 20 minutes eating your holiday meal.

Would you eat your Thanksgiving meal at a restaurant? Tell us why or why not in the comments below.
