San Francisco

Circus Bella
Circus Bella delights in the totally unexpected, with circus feats, ringleader surprises and aerial splendor and as always the Circus Bella All-Star Band! The brand new show, directed by Abigail Munn, aka High-Flying Abigail, also features the popular “BIG JUGGLE” – Circus Bella’s loving reference to its Pickle Family Circus roots. Come one, come all! Family Fun Day on Pier 27
Come for live DJ spinning tunes, food trucks, a coffee cart, lawn games, art activities and a special appearance by the San Francisco Fire Department. SFFD Engine 28 will be on-site for photos and tours. 11 a.m. brings the fire boat to the fun! Sat. Event details

East Bay

Alameda County Fair
One of the longest running fairs in the Bay Area (clocking in at a full three weeks), the Alameda County Fair is adding a new thrill ride called Mega Flip, which lifts riders high in the sky from four different swinging booms while simultaneously spinning and twisting. Also new this year are a series of cultural festivals, including Bollywood at the Fair, Fiesta a la Feria, and Asian Pacific Celebration at the Fair, honoring the deep multicultural roots of the Bay Area. Swim for Free on Fridays at Lake Anza
Park entry and other fees will be waived every Friday in 2019 from April to December to celebrate the Park District’s 85th Anniversary. Park entrance and fees for day use parking, swimming, dogs, horse trailers, boat launching and fishing permits will all be waived. Fri. Event details

Kidchella
Redwood City is pleased to offer its kids music series for the seventh year! Four live music concerts on Sundays throughout the summer will be MC’d by Andy-Z, the Master of Music and Play, bringing his high energy to Courthouse Square for the joy of kids and adults alike. Theatre in the Park
Peninsula Youth Theatre and the City of Mountain View present FREE children’s theatre in the park all summer long on the Center’s outdoor ParkStage (located adjacent to Pioneer Park). You’ll see fairy tales and other children’s stories—a different 45-minute production each week performed by the children from Peninsula Youth Theatre’s “Theatre in the Park” summer camp program. Proud of My Family
This jam-packed weekend celebrates all types of families, especially LGBTQ+ parents, relatives and friends with festive rainbow art activities, a moving and grooving Rainbow Dance Zone and a temporary art installation using colors of the Pride flag. Summer Sunset Skate

Tam Valley’s Creekside Fridays
Bring the family, pets, chairs and blankets to this weekly free musical event. Creekside Fridays is a series of music events for the whole family to enjoy. Dazzling Dragons, Dainty Damsels and Butterflies
Want to see a vivid dancer, or a painted lady, or a swallowtail? And what’s a dragonfly naiad? Join volunteer Nature Guide Leslie for guided hikes to see the wonders of dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies from eggs to flight!
