The Bay Area is home to heavy hitters of every stripe, from tech to sports to food. And it’s no surprise (to us, at least) that many of the people who make this city great are ambitious, creative, multitasking moms whose families have inspired them to aim higher and excel in their fields. We highlight a few of our favorite Bay Area Power Moms right here—click through to see them all!

Anna Weinberg, Restaurateur, Big Night Restaurant Group

Feeling overwhelmed at the thought of getting dinner on the table tonight? We could all take a tip or two from Anna Weinberg, who practically feeds all of San Francisco in some of the most stylish settings in the the city: she owns and operates MarlowePark TavernThe Cavalier, and Leo’s Oyster Bar. Oh yeah, she's also the the creative director for the décor and concepts of each property. Anna has been in the restaurant game since age 18, so she knows the business inside and out. But beyond experience, she must have some sort of magic touch, as each of her restaurants have been a veritable home run—the food has won rave reviews, and the interiors are an Instagrammer's dream (her newest, Leo's Oyster Bar, with its resort-chic wallpaper and dramatic globe lighting, was just named Best Designed Restaurant of 2016 by Bon Appétit). And the power lunchers aren't the only ones benefiting from Anna's extraordinary hosting talents. Her son Leo is 3-and-a-half and he and Anna love to set the table together, designing personalized place settings for everyone. Says Anna, "One day you might be a butterfly, and the next, Superman!"

Proud Moment: "The work that we do at our restaurants is also personal, because our staff is like our family (an extended family of over 375 people!) I’m really proud of the fact that our team has been with us for so long, and that they do so because they feel they can continue to learn, grow and generally better their lives while a part of Big Night Restaurant Group."

Words of Wisdom: "My only tip is to try your best not to compare yourself to other mums. Some days we can be the tireless, day-at-the-farmers’-market/Discovery Museum model mums, but some days your exhaustion is just inevitable, and it’s a Disney marathon and popcorn for dinner kind of day!"
