Healthy Kids Saturdays in the STEM Garden
Join Chef Jorge and the STEM team as they turn the garden into a hands-on cooking class, demonstrating how whole fruits and vegetables can be transformed into a meal through activities in healthy eating and cooking. Kids might start with a fruit and vegetable name game before moving on to a tasting exploration of seasonal produce. Then, the group uses kid-safe kitchen utensils for a guided hands-on cooking experience, making recipes such as fruit- and herb-infused beverages or pizzas topped with garden-fresh vegetables. Parents are welcome to accompany their child during the program, or they can leave him/her and enjoy a bite to eat or refreshing beverage on the patio. Sat. Event details
