A Creative Outlet: San Francisco Children’s Art Center

Art projects at this gem of a studio in Fort Mason include painting, sculpture, printmaking and collage. Parties can be customized to suit the birthday child whether they are into painting, friendship bracelets or shadow puppets. During the party, teachers are on hand to gently guide the kids in the use of the materials so it's paint and playdough that gets squashed, not creativity. Each little artist goes home with their own unique artwork and a gift certificate for a free class at the studio. $390 for 20 kids includes art supplies. Parents' supply snacks, cake and decorations.
