In your post-crafting haze you realize that you spend more time scrubbing glitter and glue from your kitchen table (and your hair and their clothes) than actually creating. Leave the after-crafting clean-up to the pros at C is for Craft, the Bay Area’s newest craft studio. The new Palo Alto locale boasts pre-packaged craft kits to LEGO sets and whiteboards to reading nooks. Let your kids get crafty and messy at C is for Craft. No clean-up required.

Rates & Fees
For $20 an hour, folks can drop-in downtown for an arts & crafts adventure complete with a plethora of unique supplies you just might not have at home for structured arts activities and projects. Beyond the flat per person $20 per hour fee, the owners also sell some cute pre-packaged $5 craft kits of animal masks, tissue paper flowers, and gloriously colorful paper kites. To perk you up, the owners even carry their own custom special blend of loose leaf tea available for purchase.

Did Someone Say…LEGO?
The space is broken up into three zones: colorful craft tables (super cool flower shaped tables for the twenty month olds, and the creative tables for the “older kids”), a fun wall station running the length of the studio where you can write on the walls (both chalkboard and whiteboard) and a delightful and comfy reading nook. Everything in this joint is pint-sized to perfection from the reading nook chairs to the just-right-height bathroom sinks for your mini-Matisse. Not to be missed: the massive LEGO area for one & all tucked in at the far end of the wall station!

Nightlife for Parties
These gals also offer some adult Craft Studio sessions as well as group events, and the space can be rented out at night and on weekends to arts and crafts groups, such as a local Stitching Club. Co-owner Whitney refers to the adult side of C is for Craft as “Studio 540” (the building’s fun & funky address).
