Do you dream of crafting with the kids without the hassle of vacuuming up glitter from the carpet for the next week? Then GoGo Craft is perfect for you. It’s a do-it-yourself craft workshop that provides materials, tools and even a craft instructor, and they have set up shop at your local library! Read on for all the details about this awesome FREE creative experience!

Let’s Get Crafty
Get crafty with classes in everything needle felting, wood coaster making, DIY denim bags, Crayon batik, knitting 101, weaving, avatar plushies and more. Hello?! You can make Avatar plushies!

At the workshop, all the materials will be laid out and the instructor will give a quick demonstration on how to make the project. You can emulate the instructor or let your creativity lead the way. The instructor will provide each person with step-by-step instructions as needed to allow everyone to work – and create – at their own pace. It’s not about perfection; it’s about trying something new.

The workshops are designed so you can finish and take home your project to showoff your crafting wizardry. For more complicated projects, there will usually be a tutorial to take home for future reference.

Tips and Tricks
Summer workshops fill up fast, so be sure to sign-up ahead of time to reserve your spot by calling the library hosting the class. If the workshop is full, ask to be put on the waitlist. And while crafting is fun and available to children of all ages, GoGo Craft suggests children ages 8 years old and older will get the most out of the workshops.

Also, don’t forget to whip out your mobile phone to snap photos of your crafting experience. Take a photo from above that focuses on your child’s fingers working on the art project. Then, zoom out to snap a photo of them working intently on their project. Lastly, be ready to capture their smiling face when they finish their masterpiece.

Craft More, Craft Often
Tired of ho-hum party ideas? GoGo Craft is available for hire for birthday parties or for special events. It’s as simple as choosing the type of craft project, confirming the pertinent details and voila! You have yourself a private crafting experience tailored to your preferences.

Maybe crafting in a public setting isn’t your thing and you’d rather be in the comfort of your home, blaring Adele, while getting into the creative spirit. No problem, GoGo Craft has free tutorials on its website you can download.
