Is your kid’s culinary passport stamped solely with Italy? (AKA they are fluent in the language of pizza, pasta and bread.) We suggest adding some spice to the family dining routine and trying some of these delicious and family-friendly San Francisco restaurants that specialize in cuisine from around the world. Whether it be Burmese, Vietnamese, Indian or Ethiopian, we’ve found that even the pickiest eater can discover a new favorite dish (Udon is simply spaghetti from another mother!).

Dim Sum: City View

Sure, the food is tasty, but kids will get the biggest kick out of the delivery: Dishes are presented on little carts pushed around by the staff. No need to order, you just point out to what you want to eat and the waiter hands it over. Besides experiencing a new way to order food, we bet they will love the sweet and fluffy pork buns and dumplings wrapped in white rice paper. After your meal, head to Chinatown, a 5-minute walk from City View. The "Woo Woo" playground on Sacramento and Hang Ah streets is a local favorite.
