the scoop:

“A Parade is Hatched”is the theme for the 37th year of this Petaluma tradition. (The town’s National Egg Day Parade was featured in newsreels, where floats with giant chickens boasted that Petaluma, home to six million hens laying 600 million eggs.)  Activities before, during and after the parade include four blocks of exhibit space for arts and crafts exhibitors, food vendors, sponsor booths, community and non-profit booths and a large area to entertain youngsters with inflatables, rides, and hands-on activities. The parade starts at noon. The kid’s parade starts at 11:30 a.m.
