the scoop:

“The Magic Flute”, composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is a fairy tale set to music. It’s the story of a princess and her pursuer, who takes along a magic flute as he journeys with a sidekick to save the princess from peril. Highlights from “The Magic Flute” will be performed by Program Curator and pianist Efrat Levy, soprano Amy Foote, tenor Sergio Gonzalez and bass Jason Sarten. This interactive educational experience will spread opera’s magic among children of all ages. It was created to provide access to a new audience in a way that is up-to-date, fascinating and, of course, fun.
