Now that spring has sprung and we have more daylight to play, here are some of our favorite San Francisco streets for a leisurely stroll. These San Francisco spots are the prettiest around to take in the sights and sounds of the city and enjoy with your family. So slow down, smell the roses, and just go for a walk. Once you’re there, these everyday San Francisco moments will be that much more enjoyable that you’ll be humming to yourself, “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood.”

Mr. Rogers couldn’t have been any more right. Indeed it is.

Potrero Hill

It’s easy to see why this idyllic residential neighborhood is ideal for a leisurely stroll in the city. With jaw-dropping views of San Francisco’s city skyline, and tree-lined streets filled with mom-and-pop boutiques, coffee shops and eateries - even a quaint corner bookstore where the little ones can get in some reading time – Potrero Hill is a great spot to get your steps in. Speaking of steps, be sure to wear comfortable shoes as parts of Potrero Hill are, well, hilly. And although very family-friendly, Potrero Hill is also great for date night strolls, with couple spots for happy hour bites. Either way, sans kid or full-on stroller mode, as soon as you arrive, you’ll enjoy all that is San Francisco’s Potrero Hill.

Good to Know: Located east of the Mission District and south of SOMA/Mission Bay, there is free street parking throughout, just pay close attention to street signs. Recommend starting at Missouri and 18th (with epic downtown views) and start exploring - one step at a time.
