Kid's Play Night at Tree Frog Treks

Sometimes it seems like summer just whizzes by with swim lessons, play dates and camps for the kids. But what about time for the grown-ups? We could all use a few hours to enjoy a night on the town with the Sig-O or just the girls. No sitter? No problem!  Take a look at some of these great Kids’ Night Out offers from local kids’ clubs and hangouts. Your kids will have so much fun, they won’t care if you’re out ‘til the cows come home…or at least by 9 or 10.

The UCSF Rec Centers are not only kicking with kid activities,  now they’re sitting your kids! Every third or fourth Friday your kids can come by for Pajama Party Madness and hang out with other littles in their pjs. Kids do art projects, play games, have some eats, and watch a movie while you hit the town. Destination Art leads your kids in art projects before a “just like the theater” movie screening, complete with popcorn intermission. By the time you pick them up, they’ll be all funned out. First and third Fri., 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., San Francisco, children 3 and up. Read more.

Planet Granite holds Climb and Dine where your little one can, literally, climb the walls. Once they get their fill of the highest heights, dinner is served! Both AcroSports and SF Gymnastics have a kids’ night out that will have your child swinging from the rafters. AcroSports offers pizza, games, and rides on the zipline and bungee cord, while SF Gymnastics keeps the troops entertained with obstacle courses, pizza, movies, and a bouncy house (not to mention spins on the gymnastic equipment). Your kids can get wild with Tree Frog Treks and have a night with the party animals. TFT has snakes, lizards, and turtles to introduce your kids to, before offering science and art projects, then storytime and a movie. Eats will be available as well. In Marin, check out these options: Kids can get crafty (in adddition to pizza, stories and games) at Doodlebug Art Studio in San Anselmo at their Friday Pajama Party. Cubes and Crayons takes care of your little littles while you take care of you. Bring your tot in his/her pjs with their favorite blanket and plushie for art projects, pizza, and a story. Have artistically inclined littles? Color Me Mine takes future Picassos and puts them to work on their masterpieces. Enjoy a Friday eve out while your the kiddos enjoy the Wiggle Wall and make change the Little Town Grocery. There’s also the waterworks and art studio station to keep them busy.
