The Sound of All of Us
This family friendly event is a fundraiser for Temple Beth Abraham’s pre-school and Hebrew school music programs, and also for music programs in Oakland schools. Music will include: Jewish, folk, ragtime, opera and jazz, along with a performance by Three Ring Circus, featuring Jonathan Ring of the San Francisco Symphony, and his sons. Green Eggs & Ham Family Concert
Pianist Lara Downes is joined by winners of the Mondavi Center Young Artists Competition and members of the Davis High School Chamber Orchestra, in a performance of composer Rob Kapilow’s “Green Eggs and Ham.” Kapilow’s ensemble piece combines the zaniness of Seuss’s text with a refreshing musical score that includes jazz, pop and modern music styles.
