San Francisco Kids Weekend Events: July 22-24
This week we’ve got Bay Area kids events that run the docket from street parties to nature events. If you want to do it, it’s happening this summer. Little Hands education center offers classes for kids 6-36 months that highlight arts, music, and more. Try out their curriculum at the public open house. Take a listen to the Hipwaders new CD in downtown Vacaville and try out some eats and ice cream.
OBUGS Art and Garden Tour
Mount up for the 4th Annual Oakland Based Urban Gardens Art and Garden Tour. Break out the cycles for a ride through West Oakland and check out neighborhood gardens along the way. Finish up at Lowell Park for an OBUGS party. If you don’t have a bike, borrow one from OBUGS, or ride in the van and you can still party down. Sun., 2:00 pm. Free. All ages. Event Details.
Mills College Art Museum Family Day

Dolores Park Gardening Day and Pot Luck
If you’ve been thinking Dolores Park could use some love, this is your event. Bring the kids and a dish to share, and work up an appetite cleaning up the park. Then, break out the nibbles and chat with your neighbors at a pot luck picnic. There will also be treats on hand from Bi-rite, Due Drop-In, and Dolores Park Cafe. Sat., 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Free. Buddhist Church Ginza Bazaar
Activities abound at the Buddhist Church Ginza Bazaar. Shop the stalls full of handmade crafts, books, and more. Play games and take a bite from traditional Japanese foods. Collard Greens Festival
Taste your way through the Collard Greens Festival and decide for yourself what the best recipe is. Summer Sunset at BADM
