the scoop:

Do you ever wonder how a piece of music was created? How does a composer string together so many different notes and instruments to create something that sounds amazing? The final piece might sound complicated, but the building blocks of music are very basic: pitch, rhythm, melody, harmony, and dynamics. Join the San Francisco Symphony and conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser as they take apart great works of music and put them back together. Come early and collect stamps for your musical passport, enjoy lobby activities such as the instrument petting zoo, coloring stations, and our conductor photo station. Ticket holders receive free online materials to enhance musical discovery at home.
