With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, it’s likely that your taco cravings are kicking into high gear. Start by ordering yourself a big glass of agua fresca (or a margarita, we don’t judge) and your favorite taco at one of these spots. They are kid-friendly and offer over-the-top eats like only Californians can do. Top your tacos with some fresh pico de gallo and guac and you are ready to celebrate! Tacolicious

This taco joint got its start as a taco stand at the Thursday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and now has three SF locations and two down south in Palo Alto and San Jose. Tacos are the star here (you won’t find any burritos on the menu) as well as their impressive collection of 120 tequilas. Swing by the SF and San Jose locations on a Monday from September to May, when 15% of the night's proceeds go to a local public school. The Tacolicious School Project has raised over $800,000!

Of course you’ll want to try a sampler of the T-Lish tacos (our favorites - baja-style pacific cod and the traditional carnitas) and you can’t go wrong with the made-to-order guac. Kids will be kept busy making their own taco truck from the kids’ menu. They will be sure to eat all of their carnitas taco or quesadilla when they learn that every kids meal comes with a chocolate sundae (but only if you’re good – it says so on the menu). Don’t go home without trying the traditional churros con chocolate – trust us.
