Feeling up for a challenge? Nordstrom and JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) are teaming up once again to host the 33rd annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge athletic race and fundraiser at Husky Stadium. More than 10,000 participants are expected to participate to help raise $1.8 million for the Northwest Chapter of JDRF.
Beat the Bridge consists of a competitive 8K run, a wheelchair race, a non-competitive 3-mile family walk, a 1-mile fun run, a wheelchair race and a Diaper Derby for tots as well as tons of family fun on the field after the race. Proceeds from the event, including registration fees and pledges, benefit the Northwest chapter of JDRF.

7:30 a.m. – Montlake Boulevard closes to ALL vehicle traffic
8 a.m – 3-Mile Walk
8:15 a.m. – 1-Mile Fun Run
8:28 a.m. – Start of Wheelchair Race
8:30 a.m. – Start of 8K Race
8:50 a.m. – University Bridge goes up (approximate time—the bridge will go up 20 minutes after the last runner crosses start line)
9 a.m. – Fun on the field of the Husky Stadium
9:30 a.m. – Awards Ceremony
9:50 a.m. – Diaper Derby
