Explore the beautiful Mercer Slough Nature Park by water! Park rangers will lead this 3-hour canoe trip from Enatai Beach Park into the heart of Mercer Slough Nature Park (a 320 acre wetland!). See how this amazing ecosystem functions and with a little luck–you may catch a glimpse of the otters, herons, turtles and other wildlife living in Mercer Slough.

Canoeing experience is strongly recommended; up to three people per canoe. Pre-registration is required by calling 425-452-2565 or online.

Trips take place on Saturdays and Sundays May through September. No trips over Seafair weekend (August 3 & 4).

Owl Prowl - full moon Saturday April 19th 8:00 - 10:30 PM $10/person Scholarships available Ages 8 and up Join us for this epic night time adventure! Under the light of the full moon, you will search for our resident barred and barn owls. Your prowl will begin with family lessons where you will learn about these amazing nocturnal predators, their habitats, behaviors and language including a dissection of owl pellets to find the bones and skulls from their past victims. You will continue with a night hike deep into the old growth forest where you will learn to speak owl and call out to your new feathery friends. Owls start hooting in January and continue well into the fall. For ages 8 and up (must have ability to stand still and be super quiet!) and anyone able to stay awake until 10:30 PM and hike 2 miles.
