The City of Everett’s Fourth of July festivities include a parade through the streets of downtown Everett, a festival at Legion Memorial Park Bluff and, of course, a spectacular fireworks display over Port Gardner Bay.
Bring a lawn chair or grab a curbside seat and start your Fourth off right. The parade will travel along Colby & Wetmore Avenues (between Wall & 26th), and will have all kinds of fun entertainment including marching bands, stilt walkers, dancers, clowns and all sorts of fun surprises.
After the parade, head to Legion Memorial Park Bluff (145 Alverson Blvd.) to enjoy a picnic with the fam overlooking Port Gardner Bay, free kids’ activities, a food fair, live music and a fireworks display starting at 10 p.m.
Note: Parade starts at 11 a.m. There is no parking at the festival, catch the free Everett Transit shuttle at the Everett Community College Broadway lot or at Everett Station. Reasonably sized and small coolers are permitted on shuttle buses. Return trips to parking offered throughout the day, and after the Fireworks show. Wheelchair service from bus drop-off into the park is provided by NJROTC students. Small propane and charcoal barbecues are allowed. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
