Every year, Seattle dazzles families with a variety of Christmas light shows, but a whole new experience is coming to town this year along with the big guy in red himself. From November 23 to December 30, Safeco Field will be transformed into Enchant Christmas, an immersive holiday experience featuring the world’s largest light maze, an ice skating trail, live entertainment, holiday shops and even snow! Scroll down for the important deets and get ready to put this magical experience on your family’s holiday must-do list.
The Great Search
Based on an original story, The Great Search, Safeco Field’s outfield will be transformed into the world’s largest Christmas light maze. Yep, that’s right! After a terrible snowstorm hits the North Pole, Santa wakes to find all of his reindeer are lost inside Enchant, a hidden pocket of visible magic. Your task is to help locate all nine of Santa’s missing reindeer. Ready, set, go!
The Ice Skating Trail
Unlike a traditional ice skating rink, Enchant Christmas will feature a “magical” Ice Skating Trail decorated with sparkly light sculptures. Ice skates will be available on-site to rent (from elf to adult) or you can bring your own as long as they are covered with skate guards and are carried in a clear, plastic bag.
Santa, Mrs. Claus & Other Fun Stuff
No Christmas holiday celebration would be complete without the big guy himself. Everyone is encouraged to get their picture taken with Santa and tell him their Christmas wishes. Then, curl up for a special story time about the North Pole with Mrs. Claus. Over on the Main Stage, a variety of local musicians will be performing nightly and lots of holiday-themed food and beverages will be on hand to warm up your troupe. Psst…don’t forget to bring a little extra money in case you find the perfect last-minute gift for Aunt Edna at the Enchant Christmas Market featuring over 90 market stalls selling a variety of wares. And no need to worry if the weather is frightful outside, because it will always be delightful inside as the stadium’s roof will be closed during the entire event.
Enchant Christmas will be held Nov. 23 through Dec. 30, 2018 and yes, it will even be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Note: Enchant Christmas will be closed on Nov. 26, Dec. 3 & Dec. 10.
While tickets will be available to purchase at the on-site ticket booth, it is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets online ahead of time as they could run out on the date you choose to attend.
Your ticket to Enchant Christmas includes full access to the event, including the Christmas Light Maze, the Artisan Market, Santa’s Workshop, story time with Mrs. Claus, live entertainment and access to food and beverage vendors. Water fountains will be available throughout the venue at all times as well.
