Whether it’s a Friday night tradition or an extra special treat, pizza is one of the few foods everyone seems to agree on. But forget Pizza Hut—today’s kids are asking for deep-dish, gluten-free and even wood-fired. And lucky for us, the Emerald City keeps serving up more great spots to get our fill. We’ve broken down some of our area’s finest pizzerias, so you can spend less time browsing Yelp reviews and more time digging in. Proletariat Pizza

Known as "The Pizza That Made West Seattle Famous," Proletariat Pizza is known for serving up delicious pies topped with the usual suspects as well as pies made for adventurous palates. Try the Butternut Squash Special: a seasonal pie made with thin slices of butternut squash, goat cheese and fresh arugula on a red sauce and mozzarella base. Or go for the White Center White topped with ricotta cheese, fresh chopped garlic, oregano and mozzarella cheese on an olive oil base or the Ham and Egg pizza topped with... you guessed it... three fried eggs!

Good to Know: Proletariat Pizza hand mixes its New York–thin crust which makes it pliable with the perfect balance of crispiness. The shop also offers gluten-free pies that are oh-so delicious and serves Full Tilt ice cream from its neighbors across the street.
