the scoop:

See amazing animals of all kinds, talk to the keepers who care for them and watch animals enjoy “lucky” treats in honor of St. Patrick’s Day!

Enrichment Schedule:
10:30 a.m. – Penguins get green toys and grassy browse for nesting.

11 a.m. – Sharks get fed in the South Pacific Aquarium – all 16 of them!

11:30 a.m. – Polar bears play wiith ice treats and green toys in the Arctic Tundra habitat.

Noon – Meet a surprise animal at the Close Encounter at Wild Wonders Outdoor Theater.

12:30 p.m. – Tapirs luck out! The keepers will treat them to a “pot of gold” filled with yummy carrots, bananas and yams in the dayroom at the Asian Forest Sanctuary.

1 p.m. – Elephants Suki and Hanako will stomp, slurp and suck on shamrock-shaped watermelons – yum! Find them in the Asian Forest Sanctuary.

2 p.m. – New octopus Oswald will get a special treat in the North Pacific Aquarium.

2 p.m. – Red wolves – chat with the keepers about how we can care and protect these beautiful animals.
