Ring in the holiday season Redmond-style with spirited rides aboard RTC’s holiday train or mini horse carousel, or twirl around the outdoor synthetic ice skating rink. Be sure to make a special visit to Santa for holiday photos and take in the sounds of the season with festive community performances throughout December and jump over to the Springfree Trampoline pop-up shop (open Thurs. & Fri. from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. and Sat. & Sun. from noon-4 p.m.) to work off the holiday crazies. Your little scout elves can even search for Stripes, the sneaky Candy Cane, and once found, report his whereabouts to Security/Guest Services to receive a special prize! Stripes moves to a new location every Friday, so look for a new clue each week.
Good to Know: Bundle up in your warmest mittens, scarves and coats as all activities are outside, with the exception of Santa who dwells in warm hut, so photos are rain free. This year’s ice rink is also covered and can be found on the pedestrian-only Main Street. And Santa will arrive on Nov. 23, so everyone can read him their wish lists in time for Christmas. Psst…Mondays are pet photo days; Tuesdays (Nov 27 and Dec 4 & 11) are Santa Story Time days at Brick & Mortar Books at 9:45 am; and Wednesdays (Nov 28 and Dec 5 & 12) at 9:45 a.m. are Quiet Days for those who need a quieter atmosphere with Santa.
