Oh sweet, sweet relief. Molly Moon’s, one of the yummiest ice cream shops around, has opened its first Eastside location in Redmond. Charmingly located in the historic Redmond State Bank building, on booming Cleveland Street, this latest locale features the first-ever open format kitchen, so lil’ nibblers can watch the action first-hand.

Molly and her team are thrilled about this newest location, as are Eastside families! (Psst… a seventh location on 19th & Mercer is set to open on May 1!). Not only will you get a visual taste of how they craft their delicious ice creams and sorbets, but also gain an understanding of all that goes into creating those scrumptious sauces, toppings and sundaes. And what’s even sweeter – when you indulge in one of these well-deserved treats, you can rest easy: Molly Moon’s strives to source nearly all of their ingredients locally, including partnerships with jam-makers and beekeepers to cocoa importers and coffee roasters, to expertly craft their unique flavors. Plus, everything used in Molly’s shops are 100% compostable: spoons, straws, pint containers and lids. So sit back, relax and enjoy – because we all know that ice cream makes you happy.

Molly Moon’s doesn’t just offer chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavors like a lot of sweet shops; Molly and her team take it to a whole ‘nother level with delectably delicious concoctions like balsamic strawberry, honey lavender, melted chocolate, salted caramel and maple walnut. Four rotating seasonal flavors currently include salted licorice (delish, even if licorice isn’t your first choice in sweets), Thai tea, chocolate sorbet and vegan coconut chuck (creamy, yumminess for even non-vegans).
Top It Off
Once you’ve picked your scoops, don’t forget to add a creative topping. Definitely ask a “Molly mixologist” for their suggestions, as they really know how to pair up the best. We loved the wildly fresh lemon curd. Psst… do yourself a flavor and try the exotic-sounding cajeta topping (goat’s milk caramel – To.Die.For.). Sharing this season’s spring break sundae with your sidekick will make it feel like you’re on vacation, even if you haven’t left the city.
