Lake Washington Toddler Group (LWTG) is a community favorite co-op play group that serves the whole family. Children (5 – 48 months) roam the 2,800 square foot classroom, touring different exploration stations updated monthly with new themes and activities. There are water & sensory tables, active play areas, a reading corner, playdough center, dress up, arts area, and musical circle time.
While children explore their interests, parents take turns each week monitoring classroom activities and participating in teacher led parenting education discussions on topics like: “Understanding Children’s Development”, “Discipline Techniques”, “Family Communication”, “Potty Training” and “Choosing a Preschool”. LWTG also hosts numerous professional speakers, such as: Amy Lang (“Birds and the Bees”), Melissa Benaroya (“Fostering Empathy in Children”), Beverly Pressey (“Creating Healthy Eaters”) and many more!
Lake Washington Toddler Group is perfect for parents looking for parenting expertise, and connections with other moms and dads of similarly aged children. At LWTG parents come together to discuss what they’ve gleaned about raising children—by book, luck, and… let’s be honest… by mistake, too. That’s why for 2 years running, Lake Washington Toddler Group was a Top 10 Finalist in our “Most Awesome – Best Parent Education Programs” category for the Greater Seattle Area!
