Come on out for the Annual Great Westside Easter Egg Hunt, held April 19th, the Saturday before Easter. Grab the kids and head out to the only event of its kind on the Westside, held at the Washington County Fair Complex in Hillsboro. Owl Prowl - full moon Saturday April 19th 8:00 - 10:30 PM $10/person Scholarships available Ages 8 and up Join us for this epic night time adventure! Under the light of the full moon, you will search for our resident barred and barn owls. Your prowl will begin with family lessons where you will learn about these amazing nocturnal predators, their habitats, behaviors and language including a dissection of owl pellets to find the bones and skulls from their past victims. You will continue with a night hike deep into the old growth forest where you will learn to speak owl and call out to your new feathery friends. Owls start hooting in January and continue well into the fall. For ages 8 and up (must have ability to stand still and be super quiet!) and anyone able to stay awake until 10:30 PM and hike 2 miles.
