Kids and parents will also enjoy learning the tricks of the trade from expert mini-engineers who have been designing model layouts for decades.
Hands-on activities will include:
Light Rail Color + Build: Join Sound Transit and color your own Light Rail Link paper trains, build them and play with model trains on the fun Light Rail floor map and learn more about Light rail Future expansion.
Science on a Sphere: Stop by Science on a Sphere to observe air and ship traffic, animal migration and more.
Stop on a Dime: Can your vehicle stop on a dime? Stop by Tinker Tank to design, build, and test a vehicle again and again.
Northwest Railway Museum: Examine information and photos from the railroad museum located in Snoqualmie, Wa.
Transportation Museum: This exhibit looks at a variety of different forms of transportation through historical artifacts and photos.
Build-A-Memory Display: This exhibit is part of a National Model Railroad Association program to show the steps in constructing and operating a model railroad. Experts will be available to answer all modeling questions.
