The Museum of Flight offers a full-throttle celebration of acceleration with the Need for Speed Festival. Located at the foot of Seafair’s Boeing Air Show launching pad, the Museum’s East Parking Lot will become a village of family activities surrounded by speedy boats, cars and planes including World War II fighters and jets.

Families can also meet and greet Air Show pilots. Need for Speed offers a beer garden, a sandwich kiosk, souvenirs, kids’ activities and live music. The festival is open each day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is free with admission to the Museum.

Come on out for the Annual Great Westside Easter Egg Hunt, held April 19th, the Saturday before Easter. Grab the kids and head out to the only event of its kind on the Westside, held at the Washington County Fair Complex in Hillsboro. This event will feature lots of candy and tons of great prizes for kids, plus a fire truck, police cars, pony rides, face painting, a petting zoo, inflatable bounce houses, games, arts & crafts, Red Cross Blood Drive, and pictures with the Easter Bunny! Owl Prowl - full moon Saturday April 19th 8:00 - 10:30 PM $10/person Scholarships available Ages 8 and up Join us for this epic night time adventure! Under the light of the full moon, you will search for our resident barred and barn owls. Your prowl will begin with family lessons where you will learn about these amazing nocturnal predators, their habitats, behaviors and language including a dissection of owl pellets to find the bones and skulls from their past victims. You will continue with a night hike deep into the old growth forest where you will learn to speak owl and call out to your new feathery friends.
