the scoop:

This annual festival, now in its 31st year, celebrates the arts and culture of the Philippines. This event commemorates the anniversary of Philippine Independence and has grown into the biggest festival of Filipino arts and culture in the Pacific Northwest.

Learn all about the arts and culture of the Philippines through music, dance, arts and crafts, Filipino youth drill teams and rock bands, food, games, exhibits, kids’ activities, martial art demonstrations and much more! Note: This year’s theme, “Land of Food and Festivals.”

This celebration is a part of Seattle Center Festál, a series of cultural programs sponsored by the City of Seattle. Pagdiriwang provides a venue for Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike to learn about the culture. It is an ideal setting for presenting art, craft, song, dance, music, history, literature, and culture to promote better understanding of the Filipino cultural heritage.
