Join Master of Ceremonies Chip Hanauer to commemorate the start of the 64th Seafair season. Hear from King Neptune and Queen Alcyone, individuals chosen for their significant contribution to the Seattle region, meet the 2013 Seafair Royalty, see the knighting of WARM 106.9 FM’s Mark Christopher, and hear from Seafair President/CEO Beth Knox.

A vintage hydroplane from the Hydroplane & Raceboat Museum and the Albert Lee Appliance hydroplane will be on display from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Plus, Seafair posters, pocket schedules and other print collateral will also be available as well as samples from Seafair partners.

Play to Learn is for parents, grandparents, neighbors, family, and friends who nurture children ages six and under. The weekly thematic curriculum invites individual play, fun group activities, songs, and a whole group circle time for children and adults to enjoy together. This is a drop-in program. Join your preschooler in exploring our amazing salmon! Friends of the Issaquah offers this fun hands-on program monthly in the spring. It includes a slide show about salmon and acting out the life cycle, a tour of the hatchery and feeding the fish, station time with a water-play station, microscope, smelling game, craft activities, and story time.
